In the coastal city of Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, State Education Minister Nara Lokesh emphasized the government’s support for innovative projects during a visit to the Jawaharlal Nehru Technology University (JNTUK).

Speaking at the ‘Hello Lokesh @ JNTUK’ programme, Lokesh highlighted the state’s potential in agriculture, aqua industries, and technology. He described the Godavari region as the food bowl and growth compass of Andhra Pradesh. The Minister urged students and young innovators to propose startup ideas that could harness these resources.

JNTUK was encouraged by Lokesh to focus on emerging areas such as green hydrogen, aqua technology, petroleum, offshore technology, quantum technology, and other advanced fields. He also advised institutions to prioritize design engineering and research-based projects.

During his address, Lokesh clarified that Artificial Intelligence should not be seen as a replacement for human relationships or ideology, stating that technology cannot replace family values and social responsibility.

The Minister inaugurated a hostel facility for 252 students built at a cost of INR 10 crore within the university campus. He also inaugurated a 68-bed hospital established by Coromandel International Limited in Valasapakala, Kakinada rural mandal.

Following his visit to JNTUK, Lokesh attended a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) cadre meeting at Atchempeta Junction in Kakinada rural. The events underscore the Minister’s commitment to education and healthcare development within Andhra Pradesh.
