Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh Extends Invitation to BlackBuck CEO to Relocate to Visakhapatnam
In a recent development, Andhra Pradesh Information Technology (IT) Minister Nara Lokesh has invited Rajesh Yabaji, the co-founder and CEO of BlackBuck, to consider relocating his company to Visakhapatnam. This invitation follows Mr. Yabaji’s announcement that he plans to move BlackBuck out of Bengaluru’s Outer Ring Road (ORR) area due to commuting issues.
Minister Nara Lokesh, in his communication to Mr. Yabaji, highlighted the city of Visakhapatnam’s cleanliness, infrastructure, and safety for women as key reasons for considering the move. The city is currently rated among the top 5 cleanest cities in India, offering a favorable environment for businesses looking to set up operations.
BlackBuck, a leading logistics and supply chain management platform, was established in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, and has grown significantly over the years. The company’s potential move to Visakhapatnam could potentially boost the city’s IT sector and provide employment opportunities.
Infosys CFO Mohandas Pai, who is also based in Visakhapatnam, expressed his support for the initiative, stating that the city has all the necessary infrastructure to support a thriving IT industry.
As of now, Mr. Yabaji and BlackBuck have not made any official announcements regarding their decision. However, this invitation from Andhra Pradesh’s IT Minister presents an exciting opportunity for Visakhapatnam’s growing tech sector.
