Hyderabad, August 10th: The festival of Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with traditional zeal and enthusiasm across Telangana state on Saturday. Notable attendees included Telangana Ministers Danasari Anasuya and Konda Surekha, members of the spiritual organization Brahma Kumaris, State Women’s Commission Chairperson Nerella Sharada, and other women leaders who tied rakhis to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
The ceremony took place at the Raj Bhavan, the official residence of the Telangana Governor, Jishnu Dev Varma. In a unique gesture, Governor Varma also received his share of rakhis from the women leaders and ministers. The event was marked by the spirit of sisterhood, unity, and camaraderie.
