Deccan Alert | Karnataka Government to Hold Mega ‘Sadhana Samavesha’ in Haveri on February 13

To mark the completion of 1,000 days in office, the Karnataka government will organise a mega Sadhana Samavesha in Haveri on February 13, during which land title deeds and several welfare benefits will be distributed, District In-charge Minister Shivananda Patil said.

After inspecting the venue at Ajjanagudi on Sunday evening, Patil told reporters that more than one lakh revenue village land title deeds would be distributed to beneficiaries from Haveri and neighbouring districts. He said the Podi Mukta Abhiyan has also been implemented and several other welfare schemes will be extended to beneficiaries.

Patil said the Congress government has fulfilled all the guarantees promised to the people after coming to power. He recalled that AICC leader Rahul Gandhi had assured distribution of land title deeds, and the first phase was implemented during a convention in Vijayanagar. The second phase, involving distribution of over one lakh title deeds, will take place at the Haveri convention.

He added that a well-equipped medical college has been established in the district and projects to address drinking water problems are in the implementation stage. “Our dream is to make Haveri a model district, and we are working towards it with everyone’s cooperation. The Haveri convention will be made historic,” he said.

AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, several senior leaders and Cabinet ministers are expected to attend the event.

Patil said over one lakh people are expected to participate, including from neighbouring districts. Elaborate arrangements are being made for parking, VVIP vehicle movement and helipads to ensure the smooth conduct of the programme.
