Hyderabad, December 29 – In a scathing attack on the Congress government and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao alleged that they have destroyed the “golden Telangana” that was built during ten years of BRS governance.
Speaking at an event in Hyderabad, Rama Rao highlighted the astronomical rise in land values that reached up to Rs 150 crore per acre due to BRS policies during their tenure as the governing party. He accused the current Congress government of failing to capitalize on this growth and instead allowing it to stagnate.
Rama Rao further criticized the Congress government for reversing development in Palamuru district, leading to distress and large-scale migration. He alleged that key irrigation and development projects started during the BRS regime have not been carried forward under the current administration.
The BRS working president’s comments come amidst ongoing tensions between the two parties over various issues, particularly in the agrarian sector.
