In a tense turn of events in Hyderabad, the police have been met with protests after preventing Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders and workers from leaving Telangana Bhavan. The Legislative Council Opposition leader, V. Madhusudhana Chary, was also obstructed from visiting a hospital for treatment despite informing the authorities about his intentions.

The incident unfolded when BRS leaders and workers attempted to leave Telangana Bhavan, only to be prevented by the police. The opposition leader, Mr. Madhusudhana Chary, was seeking medical attention at NIMS Hospital but was delayed in reaching there due to the police’s intervention. He was eventually allowed to leave under police escort, following the protests and slogans that ensued.

Additionally, several people were arrested, and BRS leaders were prevented from heading towards Secunderabad railway station. The situation has led to a heightened sense of tension in the city.

The BRS party has condemned the actions of the police, calling them an infringement on democratic rights. Meanwhile, the authorities have not yet issued a statement regarding the incident.
