Deccan Alert | Revanth Reddy Questions KCR Family’s Wealth, Rejects ‘Telangana Jaatipita’ Claims

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy questioned how the KCR family accumulated hundreds of acres of farmhouses and assets worth thousands of crores, alleging that power in Telangana was monopolised by one family. He asserted that no one can commit crimes and expect to go unquestioned, and made it clear that democratic investigations are inevitable when illegal means are adopted.

The Chief Minister was speaking at the Ravi Narayana Reddy National Award–2025 presentation ceremony organised by the Telangana Amaraveerula Smaraka Trust at Ravi Narayana Reddy Auditorium in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. Former Supreme Court judge Justice Sudarshan Reddy was conferred the award on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Revanth Reddy criticised attempts by some leaders to project themselves as the “father of the Telangana movement.” He said true icons of the movement never sought positions and many sacrificed everything, including their lives, for the cause. He questioned how those who amassed vast wealth could claim such a legacy.

The CM also recalled the alleged harassment of movement leaders like Prof. Kodandaram in the past, stating that his government had not resorted to arrests or force. He said public rejection must be accepted with humility, rather than being blamed on the people.
