Harvard Kennedy School, a renowned graduate institution focusing on public policy, leadership, economics, quantitative analysis, and ethical decision-making, has announced that the Chief Minister of Telangana, A Revanth Reddy, will participate in their week-long executive education program ‘Leadership for the 21st Century’ starting January 25, 2026.
The program, scheduled to take place on the HKS campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts, aims to assemble senior leaders and professionals from more than 20 countries across five continents. According to the HKS website, the curriculum emphasizes leadership as a practice, rather than a position of authority, and explores how leaders mobilize people to address complex challenges, particularly in situations where formal authority alone is insufficient for meaningful change.
The program uses historical and contemporary case studies to delve into leadership dilemmas that transcend sectors, geographies, and time periods. Participants are expected to attend daily classes, complete written assignments, submit homework, and collaborate on group projects with fellow participants.
Each morning begins with small consultation groups where participants collectively diagnose adaptive challenges drawn from their own professional contexts. These sessions aim to challenge assumptions, surface underlying tensions, and develop new interpretations of organizational and community-level problems. Plenary sessions later in the day are meant to build on these discussions using experiential learning methods.
This program will provide an excellent opportunity for Telangana’s Chief Minister to network with global leaders and gain insights into effective leadership strategies, potentially benefiting the state of Telangana in the long run.
