In a humanitarian move, the Telangana government has covered the expenses associated with the repatriation of Golla Abbulu, a 40-year-old migrant worker from Nizamabad district who passed away in Oman on December 14, 2025. Mr. Abbulu had moved to Oman seeking employment at a cleaning company located in the Salalah region.

However, Mr. Abbulu’s tenure with the company was cut short due to disagreements with management, resulting in him being classified as an “irregular resident” under Omani laws. This classification led to the cancellation of various rights and entitlements, including the refusal by his former employer to cover the costs related to the transportation of Mr. Abbulu’s remains.

In response to this unfortunate situation, the Telangana government has stepped in to provide financial assistance, ensuring that Mr. Abbulu can be returned to his home country with dignity and respect. This act highlights the government’s commitment towards safeguarding the welfare and interests of its citizens working abroad.
