The Revanth Reddy-led Telangana government has put forward plans to rename several streets in the state, following a recent proposal to name a greenfield radial road connecting the Outer Ring Road (ORR) with the proposed Regional Ring Road (RRR) after the late industrialist Ratan Tata. This move is aimed at honoring Tata’s significant contributions to India’s industrial sector.

In addition, a high-profile road in Hyderabad, which houses the United States Consulate General, is being considered for renaming as ‘Donald Trump Avenue.’ The proposal is said to acknowledge the former U.S. President’s role in strengthening bilateral ties between India and the United States during his tenure.

Earlier this year, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy made a suggestion at the annual US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) conclave in Delhi, proposing that a prominent stretch of road be named ‘Google Street.’ This gesture is intended to recognize Google and Google Maps’ global impact and contributions.

These proposals are currently under consideration by the relevant authorities. Stay tuned for more updates as this story develops.
