In response to the ongoing tension between Iran and Israel in the Middle East region, Telangana has established a round-the-clock control room at Telangana Bhavan, New Delhi. The move comes on the instructions of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, who is closely monitoring the situation, according to an official statement.

Senior officials at Telangana Bhavan are maintaining regular communication with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, and Indian Embassies in the region to assess the prevailing conditions. This initiative was taken due to a spike in enquiries from Telangana citizens residing in the affected countries and their family members, according to the release.

The 24×7 control room will facilitate necessary coordination and provide assistance as needed for Telangana residents currently in the region or those facing distress, travel disruptions, or other emergency situations. Earlier, in light of reports about the ongoing conflict in the region, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy advised all Telugu people residing in Iran and other Gulf countries to remain vigilant. He urged them to adhere strictly to safety guidelines and warnings issued by Indian embassies in these countries. The Chief Minister also confirmed that the state government would extend support as required, coordinating with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
