In a significant development related to the expansion of the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy has written to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy requesting an expedited takeover of Phase-I from Larsen & Toubro (L&T). This move is crucial for initiating Phase-II of the metro expansion, which has already secured in-principle approval from the Central government.
The letter penned by Kishan Reddy on Friday aligns with the Sankratni festival celebrations. In his correspondence, he shared insights from a recent meeting with Union officials regarding the matter. The prompt takeover of Phase-I is considered a necessary step before embarking on the second phase of the metro expansion in Hyderabad.
It is worth noting that the Central government has already given its preliminary nod to the Phase-II expansion of the Hyderabad Metro project.
