An Air India flight AI-171, en route to London from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, crashed shortly after takeoff on Thursday. The aircraft was carrying 242 passengers and crew members at the time of the incident.
The news has sent ripples of sorrow across the nation, with prominent political figures expressing their condolences. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu took to social media to convey his sympathies, stating, “I am praying for the passengers, crew and their families.”
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also shared his condolences, urging the central government to expedite relief efforts for those injured in the accident. He expressed, “My heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in this tragic incident. I urge the central government to provide immediate assistance and expedite relief efforts.”
Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan, also voiced his dismay over the plane crash, stating, “The plane crash in Ahmedabad has left me deeply shocked.”
