August 27, 2025 – The Telangana State Disaster Response Force (TGSDRF) and the Kamareddy police team successfully rescued nine individuals stranded on a tanker in Boggugudise village, Yellareddy Mandal, Nizampet, Dubbaka, today.
The rescue operation took place amidst heavy rainfall that has been affecting various parts of the region. More than 30 cms (centimeters) of rain was recorded, although the exact location is yet to be specified.
The stranded individuals were trapped on a tanker due to rising floodwaters in Boggugudise village. The TGSDRF and the Kamareddy police team worked together to ensure their safe rescue, successfully evacuating all nine people without any reported injuries.
This operation underscores the importance of emergency services during monsoon seasons when such incidents are more common due to heavy rainfall. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has urged residents in low-lying areas to remain vigilant and heed flood warnings as the monsoon continues.
As the rains subside, local authorities will begin assessing the extent of damage caused by the floodwaters and initiate clean-up operations. The Telangana government has promised immediate assistance to those affected and urged citizens to stay safe during this challenging time.
