
Hyderabad, September 5: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy underscored the importance of education in shaping the nation’s future as he outlined his government’s commitment to this sector. In a statement on Teachers’ Day, he highlighted the significant strides made by his administration in addressing long-standing teacher issues and expanding educational staffing within one year of assuming office.
According to the Telangana Chief Minister, the government has recruited over 10,000 schoolteachers, 1,265 junior lecturers, and other staff during this period, while resolving long-pending promotion issues for nearly 20,000 teachers. In addition, he mentioned that more than 46,000 transfers were completed to further streamline the education system.
This renewed focus on education is reflected in the state’s budgetary allocation for 2025-26, which increased to Rs 23,108 crore—approximately 8% of the total state Budget. This significant investment highlights the government’s commitment to ensuring quality education for all students within Telangana.
