HYDERABAD: In a proactive move to ensure the smooth conduct of the upcoming Godavari Pushkaralu, scheduled to commence on July 23, 2027, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed officials to start preparations well in advance. The review meeting held on September 13, 2025, focused on providing essential facilities for the expected influx of lakhs of devotees visiting various temples after taking a holy dip in the Godavari.
The chief minister emphasized the importance of cleanliness and hygiene at all designated ghats and temple premises during the event. He urged officials to collaborate closely with local bodies and religious organizations for effective coordination and smooth execution of the massive event.
With the historical pushkar ghats of Dharmapuri playing a significant role in the Godavari Pushkaralu, the chief minister’s directive comes as a strategic step towards ensuring a successful event. The preparations include detailed planning to cater to the needs of the devotees, including arrangements for clean drinking water, proper sanitation facilities, and adequate transportation services.
As part of the Swachh Bharat mission, the chief minister also highlighted the need to maintain cleanliness not only during the event but also in the aftermath, ensuring that the holy sites remain pristine for future generations.
