HYDERABAD – In a significant move towards enhancing higher education in the state, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced on Wednesday that Osmania University would be transformed into a world-class, premier centre of learning. The decision follows the administrative sanction of Rs 1,000 crore for infrastructure upgrades at the historic institution.
During his address to students on campus, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of focusing on studies and career building while also encouraging students to cultivate leadership qualities. He urged them to remain vigilant against political manipulation and instead concentrate on their academic pursuits.
The Chief Minister’s statement comes amidst allegations that the previous BRS government neglected Osmania University for a decade, choosing instead to build farmhouses on university land. The current administration’s commitment to revitalizing this prestigious institution is seen as a step towards restoring its former glory and positioning it as a global leader in education.
