Hyderabad, May 16 – The state government of Telangana has completed the long-awaited reorganization process within the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), which includes the formation of 12 new zones and 60 circles. This move aims to enhance governance and service delivery across the expanding metropolitan area.

On Thursday night, GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan officially issued a notification marking the conclusion of the division bifurcation and zonal reorganization process that was initially initiated with the introduction of the new governance structure. The revised zones and circles are expected to streamline administrative processes and improve service delivery, benefiting the residents of Hyderabad significantly.

This reorganization is part of an ongoing effort to modernize municipal governance and cater to the growing needs of Hyderabad’s burgeoning population.

The Telangana government issued G.O. Ms. No. 292 detailing the revised zones, circles, and divisions under GHMC as part of this reorganization process. The new structure is expected to bring about more efficient management and service delivery in Hyderabad.

It remains to be seen how the revised divisions will impact everyday life for residents, businesses, and visitors alike. However, the completion of this significant reform marks a promising step towards improved governance within the GHMC.
