Deccan Alert | TGSRTC to Operate 6,431 Special Bus Services During Sankranti Festival Season with 50% Fare Hike

In an effort to cater to the increased travel demand during the Sankranti festival season, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has announced plans to operate 6,431 special bus services.

These special services will be operational from January 9 to January 19, including dates such as the 10th, 12th, 13th, 18th, and 19th. The additional buses are intended to facilitate smooth travel for passengers in designated areas across Telangana.

To ensure convenience for passengers in key locations, TGSRTC will set up temporary structures such as pandals and shamianas at major transport hubs like the MGBS, JBS, Uppal Cross Roads, Aramghar, LB Nagar Cross Roads, KPHB, Boyinpally, Gachibowli.

However, passengers should be aware that there will be a 50% increase in the usual fare for these special services. The increased cost aims to cover operational expenses associated with the additional bus services during the festival season.

The decision by TGSRTC comes as many people across Telangana and other regions prepare to celebrate Sankranti, marking the end of the winter solstice. These special bus services are expected to play a significant role in ensuring smooth travel for those heading home or traveling within the state during this period.

Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and check for updates on TGSRTC’s official channels for any changes or additional information regarding these special services.
