Hyderabad, January 20: The Telangana government has taken a significant step in recognizing the regional film industry by announcing the inaugural edition of the “Telangana Gaddar Film Awards (TGFA)” for films certified between January 1 and December 31, 2025.

The announcement was made on Monday by the Telangana Film Development Corporation Limited (TGFDC). This prestigious award ceremony aims to honor excellence in Telugu cinema across various categories, including feature films on national integration, environmental conservation, heritage, history, debut feature films, and wholesome entertainment.

Interested film producers, both domestic and international, are invited to submit their entries for the TGFA. The entry forms, accompanied by rules and regulations, can be procured from the Corporation starting January 21, 2026. The cost of Rs. 5,900 includes 18% GST and can be paid either through a Demand Draft or UPI, made payable to “Managing Director, Telangana Film Development Corporation Limited,” Hyderabad.

The deadline for purchasing the entry forms is set for January 31 up until 3 pm. Producers have until February 3 at 3 pm to submit their completed entry forms along with all necessary documents at the office of the Managing Director, TGFDC, Hyderabad.
