In a bid to address the rising road accidents in Hyderabad and the state, the Director General of Police (DGP) of Telangana, B. Shivadhar Reddy, has commended the road safety awareness initiatives undertaken by the Hyderabad-based Sarvejana Foundation.
The DGP’s appreciation came during a ceremony held at the DGP office in Hyderabad, where he released road safety stickers and a short awareness film titled Badram Naanna. The event was attended by the chairman of Sarvejana Foundation, A.V. Gurava Reddy.
The Sarvejana Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Hyderabad, has been actively working towards promoting responsible road use and reducing accidents across the city and the state. Their efforts have gained recognition from the DGP, who acknowledged their significant contributions to road safety.
The awareness film Badram Naanna, released during the event, is expected to play a crucial role in increasing public awareness about safe driving practices and fostering a culture of responsibility on the roads. The exact details of the film’s content were not disclosed during the ceremony.
This initiative by the Sarvejana Foundation is part of their ongoing efforts to make Hyderabad’s roads safer for all users, including pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists. Their work aligns with the state government’s focus on improving road safety and reducing traffic-related fatalities in Telangana.
