Deccan Alert | Amit Shah Targets Kerala’s Left Government, Vows to Uproot Maoism and End Communist Influence

In a significant address at an event titled ‘Chhattisgarh@25: Shifting the Lens’, Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized the communist government in Kerala and expressed his intentions to completely eliminate Maoist influence. He asserted that regions under communist rule have lagged in development, citing what he described as the damaging effects of communist ideology.

Shah alleged that in the name of tribal welfare, people were pushed towards armed activity, branding the ideology as destructive in nature. He stated, “We will uproot the Maoist problem from its roots. But the public of this country must understand this ideology. Wherever communist rule has existed, development has failed to take place.”

The Union Home Minister further claimed that communists barely exist today, with only Kerala remaining under their influence. He expressed confidence that the people themselves would bring an end to communism in Thiruvananthapuram. Shah also appealed to Maoists to surrender and promised a warm welcome from the government.

In conclusion, Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasized the need for India to move away from communist ideology and expressed his intent to eliminate Maoist influence in Kerala. His address comes as months remain before the Kerala Assembly elections.
