Andhra Pradesh, India – The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) has issued a warning for April 27, predicting that severe hot winds will impact 23 mandals, while another 26 mandals might experience hot wind conditions. APSDMA Managing Director Prakhar Jain emphasized the importance of preparedness against heat, hot winds, and humidity for the public.

According to forecasts, several mandals in Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram Manyam, and Alluri Sitarama Raju districts are expected to experience severe hot winds. Additionally, parts of polavaram, Anakapalli, Kakinada, East Godavari, Eluru, Markapuram, and Kadapa districts might also be affected by hot wind conditions.

Temperature readings in many mandals have already surpassed 41°C, with a total of 198 mandals across 16 districts reaching this threshold. APSDMA advises the public to take precautions, such as wearing protective headgear and sunglasses, guarding their ears against direct hot winds, and staying hydrated by consuming lemon water, buttermilk, coconut water, or plenty of regular water.

Citizens are encouraged to exercise caution during this period and follow the guidelines provided by APSDMA to ensure safety and mitigate any potential risks posed by the severe weather conditions.
