Andhra Pradesh Police Constable Aspirants Request Postponement of Recruitment Process Amid DSC Appointments

In a unique appeal to the state government, police constable aspirants from Andhra Pradesh have requested a postponement of the ongoing police constable recruitment process until all appointments under the recently notified DSC (teacher recruitment) are completed. The candidates submitted their plea in the form of a representation addressed to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, HRD Minister Nara Lokesh, Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha, and TDP State president Palla Srinivasa Rao.

The reason behind this request is a proposal by the police constable aspirants who have qualified for both the DSC and police constable exams. They have proposed an option for candidates to surrender one of the posts if they have already secured a teaching position through the DSC recruitment process. This, they believe, will provide opportunities for other eligible candidates to secure remaining vacancies in the police force.

The issue is currently under consideration by the state government, and no official decision has been announced as of yet. The Andhra Pradesh government has been proactive in addressing various issues related to education and employment, particularly in the wake of the recent DSC recruitment process.

This development comes at a time when the All India Muslim Personal Law Board is pressing for the implementation of the Waqf Bill in Andhra Pradesh. The bill, if passed, will streamline the administration and management of Waqfs (religious endowments) in the state, potentially impacting millions of Muslims in the region.
