
Hyderabad, July 1st – In a significant development following the explosion at the Sigachi Chemical Industry in Pashamylaram on Tuesday, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced a compensation package for the families and victims affected by the incident.
During his visit to the industrial estate to inspect the blast site, the Chief Minister held a review meeting with officials and representatives of the company, where he inquired about the causes and reasons behind the explosion.
In his address, the Chief Minister announced that kin of those who lost their lives in the incident will receive a compensation of Rs 1 crore each. For those who were seriously injured, a sum of Rs 10 lakh has been earmarked, while those with minor injuries will receive Rs 5 lakh as compensation.
Earlier, the Chief Minister had announced an immediate relief of Rs 1 lakh for kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for injured individuals. He also directed officials to submit a detailed report on the incident at the earliest. The report will aim to shed light on the circumstances that led to the explosion and suggest measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
Accompanying the Chief Minister during his visit were Ministers Damodar Rajanarasimha and D Sridhar Babu, who also expressed their sympathies towards those affected by the incident. The officials present assured the Chief Minister that they will complete the investigation report as soon as possible to ensure accountability and prevent future mishaps at industrial sites in Hyderabad.
