In a recent development concerning the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), former TTD chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy has accused the current chairman, BR Naidu, of misconduct. The allegations stem from a viral video that appears to show inappropriate behavior by Naidu.
Speaking on the matter, Karunakar Reddy, who served as TTD chairman during the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government and is also a senior leader of the party, called for either Naidu’s resignation or his removal from office. He asserted that the 94-year history of the Tirumala temple has never faced such a taint.
Responding to these accusations, BR Naidu admitted knowing the woman in the video, stating they were longtime family friends and had embarked on a pilgrimage together. However, he contended that photos from this trip were misused and manipulated in the viral video. Naidu vowed to take action against those responsible for spreading false allegations against him.
In response to claims that the videos were doctored using AI technology, Naidu alleged that the YSRCP intentionally circulated these videos to tarnish his image.
Karunakar Reddy, however, has urged for a comprehensive investigation into the matter to determine if the videos are indeed deep fakes or not. The outcome of this investigation could have significant implications for both parties involved.
