In a bid to make Hyderabad an eco-friendly and pollution-free city, the State Government has announced the formulation of an action plan. The initiative was unveiled by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, who directed officials from the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) department to devise practical and effective plans to achieve this ambitious goal.

The Chief Minister’s directive follows increasing concerns about pollution levels in major Indian cities such as New Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai, prompting a call for preventative measures in Hyderabad. The proposed action plan aims to address the issue of pollution-causing industries operating within city limits, with the Chief Minister ordering their relocation to the Outer Ring Road (ORR) limits as part of the initiative.

This move is in line with the Government’s commitment to prioritize environmental conservation and promote sustainable development. As Hyderabad continues to grow and evolve, the emphasis on eco-friendliness becomes increasingly important to ensure a healthier and more livable city for its residents.

The details of the action plan are yet to be announced, but the Government has expressed confidence in the MA&UD department’s ability to devise workable solutions to make Hyderabad a shining example of an eco-friendly urban environment in India. As the city works towards this ambitious goal, it will undoubtedly serve as an inspiration for other cities across the country to follow suit.
