In a move to bolster the film industry in the state, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy addressed representatives from the movie sector during the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 held in Future City on December 9. Notable attendees included prominent Tollywood figures such as Chiranjeevi, Dil Raju, Allu Aravind and others.

During the summit, CM Reddy emphasized the state government’s dedication to fostering growth within the film industry. He extended an invitation to filmmakers, encouraging them to present their scripts and assured them of the necessary support for their projects.

In addition, the Chief Minister outlined plans for a skills university aimed at training locals in the 24 specialized crafts required within the film industry. This initiative aims to create a skilled workforce that can contribute significantly to the growth and development of both Bollywood and Tollywood productions.

The announcement was warmly received by the attending celebrities, who expressed their appreciation for the government’s commitment to the movie sector. Venkat Reddy, member of the film fraternity, commended the Chief Minister’s efforts, stating that such supportive measures would undoubtedly propel the industry forward.

Bhatti Vikramarka, the Deputy CM, echoed this sentiment, adding that the skills university would provide a much-needed boost to local talent and help bridge the gap between academia and the film industry.

The proposed skills university is expected to play a crucial role in nurturing the next generation of film professionals, potentially paving the way for increased collaboration between Bollywood and Tollywood. As the state government continues to support the growth of the movie sector, it remains to be seen how these developments will shape the future landscape of Indian cinema.
