HYDERABAD – In a notable shift, the Telangana State Energy Department has issued orders, easing the transfer restrictions that were previously imposed within power corporations. The new regulations permit general transfers to be completed between December 23 and January 31, under specific conditions.

Previously, annual transfers in power utilities were conducted during May, June, and July following decisions by the board. However, this practice has been modified as a result of the recent orders from the Finance Department.

The relaxation of the transfer ban is expected to bring about changes in the management and operations of these corporations, potentially impacting various aspects such as policy-making, project execution, and financial management. The exact implications of these changes remain to be seen as the new transfers unfold over the coming weeks.
