In a significant achievement for the healthcare sector in Andhra Pradesh, the Venkatachalam Community Health Centre (CHC) has been awarded national-level quality certification under the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS). The recognition is a testament to the CHC’s commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services.

The certification was granted based on parameters such as service quality, patient safety, staff coordination, documentation, hospital management, and patient satisfaction. Out of the numerous CHCs evaluated across the country, only two in Andhra Pradesh, including Venkatachalam CHC, managed to secure this recognition.

The Director of the National Health Mission (NHM), Andhra Pradesh, was informed about the certification by the National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC). The CHC scored 84.29% in the assessment, demonstrating its dedication to maintaining high standards of healthcare delivery.

MLA Somireddy, who has been advocating for improved healthcare facilities in the region, expressed his delight over the achievement. He praised the efforts of the staff at the Venkatachalam CHC and noted that this recognition would motivate them further to strive for excellence.

As part of the certification, the Venkatachalam CHC received an incentive of Rs 3 lakh and an annual maintenance grant of Rs 1 lakh. This financial support will aid in enhancing the infrastructure and services at the health centre, ensuring continued quality care for the community it serves.
