In a notable development, the distinguished cricketer Virat Kohli has been included in Delhi’s squad for the initial games of the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. This decision comes after a ten-year absence from the tournament for the legendary batsman.
Confirming the news, the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) announced that Rishabh Pant will lead Delhi in the tournament, with Kohli joining the team for the first two matches. The team’s campaign kicks off against Andhra Pradesh at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on December 24.
Kohli had previously retired from Tests and T20Is but has been directed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to participate in domestic cricket when not on national duty.
