Hyderabad, December 19 – All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has requested the Telangana government to provide a trained elephant permanently for religious processions in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
The request stems from the recent demise of the previous elephant used in the processions, causing difficulties in securing replacements from other states. In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister of Telangana, A Revanth Reddy, Owaisi highlighted the challenges faced due to the lack of a permanent elephant for the religious events held in the cities.
