Deccan Alert | Union Minister Accuses Former CM K Chandrasekhar Rao of Injustice in Krishna River Water Allocation

Hyderabad – In a highly charged statement, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay has levied severe criticism against former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR). During a press conference at the BJP’s state headquarters in Hyderabad, Sanjay accused KCR and his family of damaging the state and committing an injustice in the allocation of Krishna river water.

Sanjay asserted that Telangana had been entitled to a substantial amount of 575 TMC (Thousand Million Cubic Feet) of Krishna river water out of the total 811 TMC allocated to the state, but KCR had agreed to accept only 299 TMC. The implication is that either resources were underutilized or misallocated during KCR’s tenure as Chief Minister.

Sanjay further threatened to make the agreements public, implying that there may be documents supporting his claims about the alleged injustice in Krishna river water distribution between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The Union Minister’s statements have sparked a wave of discussions among political circles in both states.

The BJP-led central government has been vocal about its intention to ensure fair distribution of water resources, particularly in the contentious Krishna river water dispute between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. This latest development is expected to fuel ongoing debates surrounding the issue.
